Burger Time

We were so hungry after dropping Grandma Lily at City College this evening that we went to In and Out, delighted to discover that they have high chairs and that Bea fit in one and had a swell time while we gobbled down our burgers and fries in Daly City.

Meeting the Fureys

Cindy, Terry, Skylar and Brady came to visit today - they're here on vacation from North Carolina. Bea was fascinated by the whole family and the boys took turns holding her and pushing her stroller.

We knew it would happen sooner or later. Bea's wiggling out of the swaddle and the velcro is not enough to contain her in her cocoon. So she
"kind of" napped in the sleep sack this morning.

The little lady who sat on a fly...

When we took Bea out of the Bebe Pod Dan found a flattened fly. Bea is doing her part to keep pests out of our home. Connie checked out the fly and was impressed. Bea enjoys sitting (Dan's arm/hand appear so strangely in this photo!).

We had lunch at Filippo's today. After the waitress offered Bea some bread, Bea was eager to get out of her stroller.

Fun at Grandma Lily's

Thursday evening we had dinner at Grandma Lily's while Dan was out with the guys. When Dan appeared, Bea was very happy to see him and play with Sophie. Then it was time to say goodnight and goodbye.

As the week went by, it was tougher and tougher for Bea's parents to wake up in the morning, but Bea woke up earlier and earlier each day.

We jogged to Safeway this morning to combine groceries with exercise and Bea fell asleep.

It'd been about a month since we all hung out post-maternity leave, so we met up and Bea couldn't stop reaching out to everyone, especially her little friend August.

To celebrate Dan's birthday we took Bea to her first beach at Siesta Key where she enjoyed kicking the sand and napping later in the sling.

Bea finally got to meet Wyatt and Addy who are also vacationing at the family house in Florida. Bea likes to grab Addy's face and hair and marvels at Addy's skill at cartwheeling and she can't stop smiling at Wyatt.

First Time Flyer

We flew from San Francisco to Tampa, Florida today through Chicago. Bea fell asleep before the plane took off but woke up shortly after. She enjoyed the reflections from people's wristwatches on the plane ceiling and couldn't stop staring at the young businessman across the aisle from us on the Chicago-Tampa leg.
