It's Friday and Bea slept in until 6:45 a.m., a personal record in the Pacific Time Zone. Another personal record was no bath in 5 days...so we took care of that before Bea went for a walk to College Ave. with Dan. She took a nap, woke very jolly, and we went for pho at Le Cheval, lick smacking good!

Dinner with Heather
Bea balked at napping today but even though she was wired, she calmed down to have dinner with Heather.

Dinner at Zachary's
Bea went to Zachary's for the first time today and loved the menu. We're hoping all the fun she had at the pizzeria will ease her into sleep tonight...the sleep training continues!

Bea at Guymas
Today we had a work offsite and Bea came along to the lunch at Guymas in Tiburon. Here she is pictured with Jon, our fearless leader.

Bea's birds
Bea loves the birds and birdhouse shape sorter Auntie Jamie gave her. The purple bird goes to naps and bedtime with Bea.

Gin Family Affair
Bea had fun playing with Grandma, Uncle Chris, Aunt Amy, and Great Grandma in Victor and Fran's wall-to-wall carpeted family room. We need more carpet in our place - it's so so good for the aspiring crawler!

An evening stroll
With all the scheduling that having a baby involves, we're trying to schedule in an after dinner stroll like the people of Bologna, Italy taught us to do.

High Chair
Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. Bea woke up happy and was delighted to try out her high chair for the first time, though we didn't have time to figure out the whole rice cereal to milk ratio before bedtime. Bea improvised by chewing on one of the straps.

Heading home
Bea fell asleep on the way to the airport - it's really hard to stay awake in a Lincoln Town Car. That vehicle is a serious boat, but it was the 'free upgrade' and we'd never had one before so we cruised the island in it. When we got back to San Francisco it was much cooler than Hawaii so Bea got bundled up and we hunted for our luggage.
Back to the beach
Our last morning in Waikiki we ate breakfast on the beach. Bea toppled over onto the sand and enjoyed watching the pigeons and the palm trees.

Another day in paradise
We've come all this way, yet Bea prefers the booth at the hotel restaurant the best. She slept in her car seat at the beach, had fun on the beach towel back in the hotel room, and took a nap before Tom and Anna came over to have dinner with us.

Kailua Beach
We had breakfast at the Zeilingers' and then caravaned to Kailua Beach along with Keith, Peggy, Em, Nita, Eric, Adam, Kerri, Justin and Elise. Elise and Bea hung out in their baby beach tents to escape the sun and wind, and Kerri and I squeezed into the tents to try to keep the babies happy. There will be a photo of that soon, but for now here are some that show the array of emotions Bea felt about all that wind and sand. She passed out on the way back to the hotel where she had a bath and got dressed to go to Grandpa's office at UH.
